The City of Monona, Wisconsin, located in the suburbs of capitol-city Madison, Wisconsin, features breathtaking waterfront views of Lake Monona and the Madison skyline, green spaces, and cozy neighborhoods. The Monona Chamber of Commerce was seeking help to boost tourism in the city and provide residents and tourists a place to learn more about the city's history and places to stay, eat, shop, and play. Our team partnered with the Chamber of Commerce to develop the city's tourism website, logo, and tourism poster.
This page features the tourism poster I illustrated and developed for the project in Illustrator.
Inspired by vintage travel posters, the artwork features three sailboats to represent the city's "Three White Sails" sculpture that stands over one of the entryways to the city, and their unofficial mascot, Tera the pterodactyl. In addition to the standard poster size, I resized it for use on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
